Shake Shack became a publicly-owned company through an initial public offering (IPO) in early 2015 and now commands a market capitalization of $3.16 billion, as of February 2022. As the company continues to expand, it will also need to work harder and harder to preserve its commitment to quality and community.

During Shake Shack's Q3 call this past week, CEO Randy Garutti outlined the framework of where the burger brand heads next. That 500 figure, which stretches through 33 states and 18 countries, has doubled in four years.

Shake Shack's shakes have been reviewed as "some of the best in the industry". It also sells chicken burgers, fries, hot dogs, frozen custards, and beer and wine. In each new location, the beverage menu is customized to the local flavors of the city in which it operates. Their most famous product is the ShackBurger.

Shake Shack's ShackSauce In their 2017 cookbook "Shake Shack: Recipes & Stories," the pair cheekily suggested that they wouldn't give out the exact recipe but that they would get readers "close enough." Per Popsugar, the recipe calls for mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, ketchup, cayenne pepper, and dill pickle brine.
